Training is conducted
in the spring and summer prior to "Hurricane Season" by NWS
WFO
Miami meteorologists. Training is conducted at local approved sites.

We request a minimum
of 20 attendees to host a class. Training is free and all training
material will be provides by the WFO-Miami and PBC Skywarn.
There are two
level of classes. A 2 hour " Basic Spotter" course and a
Advanced 4 hour
class. Classes hosted by PBC
Skywarn are a combined 6 hour Basic & Advanced class.
Training is
provided through out the WFO-Miami coverage area of Palm Beach,
Broward,
Miami-Dade, Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
