This year was very successful with over 200 contacts with children of all ages worldwide. The 20m band as was expected this time of year, was a wee bit tricky. The band was an on-going roller coaster ride. Santa and Santa Net NCS operators would like to thank all participants for their patients and perseverance with the ever changing band conditions. Murphy's Law and the Santa Claus Net. Murphy checked into the net early and often this year. Net control stations had computer crashes and power outages. Santa's sleigh had antenna issues and one Brazilian PU2 station had complete station shut down while trying to check into the net. Santa via NCS WX4PBC completed the contact via e-mail. Net Control Stations were ready for Murphy as they used the PBC Skywarn "SkyChat" which allowed them to communicate in real time with each other and relay information via SkyChat for the duty NCS to make or complete the contact during the varying band conditions. But even through Murphy's Law can enter and dampen equipment, Murphy could not dampen the Sprit of Christmas or the Santa Claus Net. So...the net was a success and fun was had by all.Santa Claus Net goes High TecNCS operators Joe W1WCN and Scott KK4ECR introduced LiveStream allowing visitors to watch the Santa Work Shop Operations room in action to include last minute up-dates on Santa in pre-flight and the actual flight.KC9SGV notified Santa he had opened an on-line streaming audio site and had a large number of Santa Net listeners worldwide. NCS operator Shawn KI4HRY pulled double duty. Dec 24th 2012 Skywarn member Pat Johnson KJYAVE and Assistant PBC Skywarn Coordinator Ray Ruby WX4PBC participated in the 20m 14300.net annual Santa Claus Net Dec-23rd & 24th. Pat provided communication for Mrs. Claus to get on the air and speak with children all around the world.

Pat KJ4AVE and Ray WX4PBC will again host Santa and Mrs Claus this year. Look for them on the air with Mr. & Mrs. Claus Dec,23rd & 24th.
